Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) denied a request from the defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to suspend the progress of the criminal action in which he is accused of leading an attempted coup to prevent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
Defendant in the case, Bolsonaro should be interrogated by the First Class of the Supreme Court next week. The final judgment is expected to take place in the second half of this year.
The defense claimed not to have had full access to the documents produced in the investigation and said that there was no time to analyze the d.

However, Moraes countered the arguments. In his decision, he stated that all evidence is already available in the file and that new material, even attached by the defense itself, does not alter the central elements of the prosecution.
Bolsonaro is investigated for alleged participation in the organization of an attempted institutional rupture, which would have involved military personnel, advisors and political allies. He denies the accusations.
