French Open winner Gauff loses against a qualifier in Berlin

Berlin/Halle/London – Coco Gauff has lost her first match after her triumph at the French Open. The American missed her seasonal start to grass and was defeated on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the WTA tennis tournament in Berlin to Chinese qualifier Wang Xinyu 3: 6.3: 6. After a lost first set, Gauff took the lead 3-1 in the second, but did no game afterwards.
