The Bougainville, striving for independence of Papua New Guinea, has hired the NGO Sea Shepherd to protect its maritime areas. The Allankay went in front of anchor in the transitional capital Buka last Friday, where a visit was paid to her by the President of the Autonomous Bougainville region, Ishmael Toroama. Toroama was received by Peter Hammarstedt, the campaign director of Sea Shepherd.
