PF discovers clandestine gold extraction laboratory in Roraima

The Federal Police discovered and dismantled a clandestine laboratory of gold extraction and separation which worked illegally in a rural area near the urban center of Boa Vista, in Roraima, on Wednesday (23).

On site, which was isolated by chemical and environmental risk, Four people were arrested in the act. More than 2,000 kg of coal contaminated with cyanide were also seized, equipment used in mineral beneficiation and 7.62 mm caliber ammunition of restricted use.

The investigation revealed that an abandoned woodwork was being used for the ore processing from illegal mining Located on the Raposa Serra do Sol Indigenous Land.
