The rescuers have not yet found any survivors on the site of Thursday’s aircraft crash in the Amur region in the Russian Far East. There were probably 49 people on board the machine. This was reported by Russian agencies TASS and Interfax, referring to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, TASR writes.
“The ground rescue unit of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations shall overlook the scene of the accident and perform a search operation. According to current information, there are no survivors,” TASS said. The ingredients came to the place only a few hours after the discovery of the A-24 aircraft operated by Angara. The reason was the hard -to -reach forestry terrain.

The aircraft operated on the route Khabarovsk – Blagoveščensk – Tynda. The Russian air authorities announced on Thursday morning that they had lost contact with an aircraft that was not reported at the specified checkpoint and subsequently started the search action. According to the authorities, the radars disappeared after the beginning of the second landing attempt. The aircraft did not send any emergency signal before disappearing.
The number of people on board
The governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov informed that there were 49 people on board – 43 passengers and six crew members. However, numbers vary. In the area, the state of emergency was declared to coordinate the work of all components and mobilize all forces.
The Russian authorities have already started an investigation. Meanwhile, the crew error is mentioned as a possible cause of the crash during landing in reduced visibility, but investigators are working with multiple versions.
