President of the House, Hugo Motta says that “we are not in a boxing ring” and evaluates punishing those who obstructed plenary
The Board of Directors of the House of Representatives analyzes the possibility of sanctions such as suspending the mandate of deputies who caused a riot during legislative session on Wednesday (6.ago.2025). The president of the house, (Republicans-PB), said on Thursday (7.ago) that he has received requests for party leaders to apply the sanctions to congressmen who since 3rd (5.ago).
Motta was already on Wednesday when he scheduled the plenary session of Wednesday (6.ago.2025). Opposition congressmen occupied the House’s board of directors to press Motta to vote on the project that amnesty those involved in January 8 and against that of the former president
During interview with Metropolisthe president of Casa Baixa stated: “We are not in a boxing ring that is resolved in the beating things. What is up to the president is to use his regimental instrument”.
Motta stated that the board of directors is analyzing images of the case to identify the deputies involved. According to him, there are regimental mechanisms to punish deputies who “They hindered, resisted or disturbed” the progress of the work.
