During his time in Rio Branco this Friday (8), President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will visit the Souza Araújo Welcome House, an institution located on the banks of BR-364, focused on the care and welcome of people hit by leprosy. The visit will take place before the official agenda scheduled at the cooperation headquarters, in the capital’s industrial park.

The president is scheduled to land between 9am and 9:30 am at Rio Branco International Airport, at the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) aircraft. From there, he will go directly to the Welcoming House, in a commitment that, according to the State President of the Workers Party (PT), Councilman André Kamai, will be personal.
“It’s a personal agenda of the president,” Kamai said, confirming Lula’s passage through the unit.
The Souza Araújo Welcome House is a reference in attending social vulnerability people, especially those affected by neglected diseases, such as leprosy. The institution has historical and social importance for the state and has the support of various organizations, including linked to the Catholic Church.
After the visit, the president will go to the main event of the day, along with local ministers and authorities, at the headquarters of Cooperacre – Branch 5, where he will announce investments in infrastructure, education and agrarian reform.
