The Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office deals with the death of an UN employee as a result of an Israeli attack in Gaza. Forensic reports suggest that it could be an intentional act.
Bulgaria is investigating the death of his citizen, an employee of the United Nations, who died in the Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip in March, confirmed on Thursday by the Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.
Marin Marinov died on March 19 at the Israeli attack on two UN buildings in the Gazan city of Dajr al-Balah. The Israeli army first denied responsibility for the attack. In April, however, she admitted that 51-year-old Marinov died in tank fire and Israel apologized for the incident. The daughter of the UN -killed daughter stated that the prosecutor’s office had initiated an investigation in May as part of the preliminary proceedings on suspicion of “murdering a person under international protection”.
According to the lawyer, the immediate goal is to identify the commander of the tank who killed Marinov during the attack. The UN Forensic Administration shows that Marinova killed a precisely guided shot, not accidental shooting. “This ammunition can be programmed not only for Direction, but also to the distance,” he said, and according to AFP indicated that it points to intent. He added that Bulgaria is preparing legal aid applications for Israel and France. In the attack in which Marinov died, the French citizen also suffered injuries.
