A 21 -year -old man died shot at dawn on Sunday (31) in Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo, after trying to break into a neighbor’s residence in the Água Branca neighborhood.

The 41 -year -old resident reacted to the onslaught and fired the shots. The case was registered as self -defense and is still investigating by the Civil Police.
Witnesses reported that, moments earlier, the young man chased his mate, a 17 -year -old who said he was assaulted and threatened by him. The attempted invasion occurred in the house neighboring that of the young woman’s mother, where she had managed to take refuge.
