According to the survey, the support of the entry of Ukraine is rejected by 53 % of Poles. Especially skeptical are the voters of the opposition, while the fans of the government are mostly behind.
More than half of the Poles are against Warsaw to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO. This stems from a survey by IBRIS, which at the turn of August and September performed for the daily Rzeczpospolita. This is reported by Warsaw TASR rapporteur, according to PAP.
According to the survey, almost 53 percent of respondents expressed their disagreement with support, less than 34 percent and 14 percent were unable to express themselves. The greatest support of Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance was expressed by fans of the government camp, of which 59 percent agree to continue such a policy. The opposite is 29 percent of the government coalition sympathizers.
Among the opponents are dominated by fans of opposition parties Law and Justice (PIS), the Confederation and the Razem, where 74 percent of respondents opposed.
The highest share of opponents was among men, people with primary education, in the age category around 50 years or people who evaluate their economic situation negatively.
The skeptical attitude is increasing
According to Rzeczpospolita, the skeptical attitude towards Ukraine in NATO is increasing among the Poles. In August 2023, the same survey showed that 48 percent of respondents were against the immediate membership of Kiev in the Alliance, the opposite view held 40 percent.
The survey was carried out from 29 to 30 August 2025 on a representative sample of 1,069 respondents.
