Pakistan’s head of government, Shehbaz Sharif, said on Sunday (June 14) that the US and Iran had reached a peace agreement after “intense negotiations”. According to him, the 2 countries declared the closure “immediate and permanent” of military operations on all fronts, “including in Lebanon”.

Sharif said that his country acted as a mediator in the talks and thanked Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey for their support in the negotiations. The official signing ceremony, according to the Pakistani prime minister, will be held on Friday (June 19), in Switzerland.
