The fitness instructor Artur Martins, 19, was shot and killed inside the gym where he worked in Divinópolis, in the Midwest of Minas Gerais, Last Tuesday (2).
Before died, the victim, pointing out a supposed relationship with a married woman as a motivation for the crime.
A military police sergeant who was off duty and trained at the gym witnessed the crime. He rescued Arthur and said the young man reported, while rescued, an “ugly fight” with a businessman because of a womanstating that this man would have threatened to kill him. Also according to the victim, the businessman would be related to the academy. The young man’s mother attended the hospital where he was taken and confirmed the fight to the PM.
The entrepreneur present at the scene told the police that there was no disagreement and assured that he would present himself spontaneously at the police station. The victim and man’s cell phones were seized.
Crime and investigation
Moments before the crime, two men parked a car in front of the new gym. One of them entered the scene, called Arthur and fired at him, hitting him in his chest and neck before fleeing.
A Civil Police of Minas Gerais It has established an inquiry and is investigating the case, with a vehicle used by the suspect undergoing expert examinations. The hearings have started, and other information cannot be disclosed so as not to disturb the investigations.
Arthur, a physical education intern, was known for his joy and participation in health and training videos. Family and friends lamented the death of the young man on social networks.
The case is still under investigation.
