Hamas blames USA for Israeli attack against group negotiators at Qatar

Hamas held the United States, as well as Israel, for the attack on its negotiating delegation in Doha, the capital of Qatar. In a statement, the group reiterated that it condemns the “continuous support” of the Americans to Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas also pointed out that the action took place at the time of the latest proposal of US President Donald Trump, which, according to the group, “confirms without a doubt that Benjamin Netanyahu and his government do not want to reach any agreement.”

The group called Tuesday’s military operation in Doha a “treacherous attempt” to murder Hamas’s main negotiators, who work in conjunction with mediators for a ceasefire agreement with Israel.

Hamas stressed that the attack also configured a “aggression” against Qatar’s sovereignty, which, along with Egypt, plays an “important role in mediation and efforts to stop aggression and achieve a ceasefire and prisoners.”

The statement reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of six people, including security members and relatives of leaders. “We confirmed that the enemy failed to murder the brothers of the negotiating delegation,” the text said.
