Minister received a request from the former president’s defense to reschedule from 19 to September 22; The meeting will take place after the House approves the urgency of the Amnesty PL
The Minister of (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes authorized this Friday (19.Set.2025) the visit of the PL leader in the House of Representatives (RJ), to the former president (PL), who has been under house arrest since August 4. Read the decision (PDF – 117 KB).
The congressman will be able to visit Bolsonaro at the house of the former Chief Executive, in the Condominium of Solar Luxury of Brasilia, in the Botanical Garden, on Monday (22.Set). Initially, Sostenes would visit on September 19, but asked to exchange with the deputy (Union Brazil).
Bolsonaro’s defense asked for the change of dates claiming “Agenda adequacy”. Moraes authorized the changes, setting the visits to:
- Cavalcante – Monday (22.Set);
- (PL-RN), Opposition leader in the Senate-Tuesday (23.Set);
- Rodrigo Valadares (União Brasil-SE), Deputy-Wednesday (24.Set);
- Valdemar Costa Netonational president of the PL – Thursday (25.set);
- (PL-GO), Senator-Friday (26.set);
- (Republicans), Governor of São Paulo – Monday (29.Set).
The visits occur after the House approved the urgency of the PL (Bill) of the amnesty. Bolsonaro should be consulted by allies to find out whether or not to accept a version that reduces the feathers – fear and those involved on January 8 – instead of a general and unrestricted forgiveness.
The assessment is that the chance of a wide amnesty will be approved in Congress is nullbut the opposition will only give up a broader proposal with the former president’s endorsement.
