Coach Renato Gaúcho announced, at a press conference held on Tuesday night (23), that he resigned from the Fluminense command.
The announcement was made by the coach shortly after the 1-1 draw against Lanús in Maracanã, a result that took Tricolor out of the tournament orange trees in the quarterfinals.
“These questions you are asking, I should not be saying that, but I resigned to the president before coming here. From now on it will be another guy here, and you will ask the same questions to him, and I want to see the answers he will give. I want to see the team that the fan wants, or the team of his head. I always tried to do my best for the club,” Renato said.
Moments after the interview, Fluminense confirmed the departure of the coach in an official note published on social networks.
