Trump receives Erdogan in the White House and returns to speak of “fraudulent elections”

United States President Donald Trump received Turkey leader Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday (25) at the White House Oval Hall. During the meeting, Trump again lifted suspicions about the 2020 presidential elections and referred to the period outside power as an “unfair exile.”

“We have been friends for a long time, even in the four years I have been unjustly in exile in fraudulent elections,” said Trump. The Republican added that Erdogan “knows about fraudulent elections better than anyone” and that the relationship between the two remained firm during that time, which, he said, was a “friendship test.”

In addition to statements about his return to politics, Trump praised the Turkish President. “He is a very respected man, not only in his country, but throughout Europe and in the world where they know him. He built a tremendous army, a powerful army,” he said.
