Unmanned unmanned air vehicles (drones) were observed over Danish’s largest military base last night, according to police, after several corresponding overflows at airports this week.
“I can confirm that we had an incident around 20.15 (local time, 21.15 hours of Greece) that lasted for several hours. One or two drones were observed outside and above the air base ‘of Karoup, police officer Simon Skelsza said at the French News Agency (AFP). “We didn’t break them down,” he added, clarifying that the police could not comment on the origin of these drones.
Police are working with the army as part of her investigation, the officer added. The base of the Caroup shares the corridors of the take -off landing with Mitjuland Airport, which was closed for a while, but no flight was affected as no commercial flight was planned, Simon Skelszer said.
Danish Prime Minister Methe Fredericksen said Thursday that Denmark has been targeted by “hybrid attacks” in recent days, referring to a form of a non -conventional war.
The incidents took place a week after the announcement by the Copenhagen of the acquisition, for the first time, precision weapons of a large range in order to be able to hit distant goals, judging that Russia has been a threat of “for years”.
