Among others, the indigenous peoples of Brazil (APIB), the Brazilian Association of Gays, Lesbians and Transsexuals (ABGLT), the movement of dams affected by dams (MAB) and the network for sovereignty.
On the agenda of the delegation are meetings with Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Eua, Atlantic Council, Freedom House, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Inter-American Development Bank, as well as the AFL-Ti Union Central and Parliamentary Offices.
According to Abram, civil society has the advantage of being seen as independent by Americans. “The interlocutors often see with suspicion the narratives of diplomacy, which are institutional, and government, which has political interests. The message of civil society is seen as more independent,” he says.
