Saturday (4) of the Macaxeira Festival, in Horto Florestal, gathered a large audience to enjoy the program without rain, allowing families and visitors to fully enjoy the attractions of the event.
Among the highlights of the day were the competitions of the largest cassava and Miss Universe – Rio Branco Stage. José Ferreira dos Santos became a two -time champion of the Macaxeira contest, with a root of 11.16 kg and 3.04 meters, taking R $ 5,000. José Severino de Oliveira and Damiana Souza were in second and third places, with awards of $ 3,000 and $ 2,000, respectively.

In the Miss Universe contest, Andressa Jamylle won the title of the Rio Branco stage, with Deborah Brilliant in second place and Maria Eduarda in third. After the victory, Andressa talked about her preparation: “Today I went to the salon, I prepared, took care and lately I have been careful very aesthetically, taking care of my smile, my body, training a lot and feeding me well. This has helped me a lot to be a life purpose.”

The children also had moments of fun with the giant orange capybara and the purple dinosaur, which circulated through the space taking pictures and interacting with the children.

During the event, the Secretary of Communication of the Rio Branco City Hall, Ailton Oliveira, announced that the Florestal Horto will be one of the stages of the Christmas festivities of the capital, reinforcing the consolidation of space as a permanent point of culture and leisure.

The festival follows with cultural attractions, local products and agribusiness activities, maintaining the Forest Garden as a space for integration between Campo and City in Rio Branco.
