Horror case! The patient Ewu (42) was to be sent by doctors from a hospital in the Polish city after the examination for surgery to Warsaw. It turned out to be completely useless. There was probably a confusion of the results of the tests with another patient, which had serious consequences in this case, reporting news television.
The mother of three children never had serious health problems, so she was surprised when she began to feel abdominal pain. It was so intense that she decided to go to the hospital. “I was ordered on an echocardiogram. Then they told me I had the aorta’s dissection – the main vessel leading to the heart and that I can start bleeding and die. The doctor told me that my condition is very serious and I wouldn’t have to survive the transport to Warsaw, so I started to say goodbye to my husband, ”she described the events that scared her immensely.
She finally managed the transport and immediately went to the operating room. Serious concern came after the procedure. “When she was released, they told us that the operation was not needed. They were in shock. The doctor said he had been working in the hospital for the first time,” Ewin’s husband Dariusz said.
The consequences of surgery are extremely serious, as it is unable to work, cannot lift even the lightest objects and suffer from pain. “I have separated my sternum,” She explained the woman with sadness. Also, he cannot hug his kids as it used to be. “When my child wants to help, I can’t. My health does not allow him to touch me and therefore crying,” She explained the despair she experiences daily.
The family therefore decided to bring a lawsuit. It requires compensation of EUR 2 million (approximately EUR 460,000, ed.) And also the payment of an invalidity pension. “We would like to stress that the suspicion of the aorta’s dissection itself was a sufficient reason for transporting a patient to a specialized reference center,” the hospital management responded to the questions of journalists. The clinic in Warsaw, where the operation was carried out, has not yet commented on the case.
The Polish citizen’s attorney is convinced that there has been a confusion of documentation with another woman. “Mistakes also concern an interview with Mrs. Ewa. The interviewed in the documentation is with a completely different person. My client has never suffered from atrial fibrillation. The patient has a scar on her stomach, Mrs. Ewa has none. These are the results of a completely different person’s tests, ” stressed the lawyer Grzegorz Gębskiaccording to which both hospitals seriously damaged health.
