The new film “The Hunger Games: Harvest Dawn”, adaptation of the book of the same name written by Suzanne Collinscast a fan to play a big role in the cast.
The saga revealed, through social media, that the young man Devon Singletary will be responsible for playing Blair, one of protagonist Haymitch Abernathy’s best friends (Joseph Zada). In the video, he appears reacting to the news, talking to other co-stars and starting filming.
The casting occurred after a , which called on fans of the saga to post videos acting out scenes, singing songs or just being creative in order to try to get a role in the new work.
Singletary is already an actor, but his resume only appears in commercials and plays.
In addition to Joseph Zada, the protagonist, the cast also includes names such as Ralph Fiennes (presidente snow), Kieran culkin (caesar), elle fanning (Effe), maya Hawke (wireress) e Jesse Plemons (plutarch).
The filming
The new work premieres on November 20, 2026 and will focus on Haymitch Abernathy, a tribute who became Katniss and Peeta’s mentor after winning the capital’s Hunger Games.
The plot of “Amanhecer na Colheita” will be set 24 years ago before the events of the first book, when Katniss and Peeta participated in the Hunger Games for the first time. This period in the fictional universe is known as “Quaternary Massacre“, when 48 tributes from the 12 districts were called up for the games, including Haymitch Abernathy.
