According to the agency, these people were prosecuted because they committed traffic violations which, according to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), could result in the suspension of their National Driving License (CNH). As Detran was unable to contact the Post Office, the notice was made publicly, through the notice.
Drivers whose names were included on the list can present a written defense within 30 days from the date of publication. Delivery can be made to the CNH Suspension and Revocation Division, located at Avenida Estrada Dias Martins, nº 894, Jardim Primavera neighborhood, in Rio Branco. It is also possible to deliver the document to Ciretrans (Detran units in other municipalities).
Detran also informed that, if the driver does not present a defense within the deadline, the case will be judged anyway, and the suspension may be automatically applied.
More information can be obtained directly from Detran units in Acre or at the location indicated in the notice.
