Corinthians striker Memphis Depay was once again the subject of social media. Soon after being the target of numerous criticisms for publishing a photo of an anonymous woman in a bikini on his secondary Instagram profile, the player took a stance on the issue.
In response to the critical comments, the player posted a message: “This page is not for football. Take your football intelligence to my real page and chat. Anyone who talks will be blocked. This page is not for that.”

Last weekend, the Corinthians striker published a carousel on his secondary Instagram account. In it, he placed a photo of a woman in a bikini with her back turned, who was apparently just enjoying the beach in Salvador, Bahia.
The post generated quick repercussions among fans and internet users, who began to criticize the player in the comments for violating the woman’s privacy. Other users defended the attacker, stating that he has the right to his personal life and that the publication should not generate controversy.
