Kim Ji-won33, takes lead role in biographical K-drama “Detective Park Mi-ok”based on the trajectory of the pioneering police officer who made history in South Korea.
The actress returns to the screen almost seven months after the resounding success of “Queen of Tears”. According to the South Korean portal Soompi, she will bring to life the trajectory of the first woman to join and lead the country’s Violent Crimes Division, also becoming the first to command a team of detectives.
The project, which uses the working title “Detective Park Mi Ok”, is directed by Kim Hee Won, a filmmaker celebrated by . The script is by Chung Seo Kyung, known for “The Three Sisters” and “The Maid: Political Conspiracy”.
Although there is still no release date or streaming platform defined, production is already underway and promises to pay homage to the woman who faced fear, broke paradigms and demonstrated that courage and determination transcend gender issues.
