Czech Cardinal Dominik Duka (82) was admitted to home treatment on Thursday after a recent acute operation, but he had to return from the hospital two days later. The Katolícke noviny reported on this. Duka gave an interview to the media before he was hospitalized again.
“When a person goes to the hospital just for some examination, it is something different than when he really has to stay there because he cannot return home and an immediate operation is necessary. Those are the moments when you touch the bottom to a certain extent and ask yourself questions,” the cardinal evaluated his stay. “It was also suggested to me that it is not advisable to receive a large number of visitors before Christmas because the immunity is weakened and any other illness could cause complications,” he added.
