Álvaro Carreras, Real Madrid full-back and former Benfica player, had an unusual moment after the defeat against Liverpool (0-1), at Anfield, in the Champions League. During the flash-interview with the Brazilian channel TNT Sports, the Spaniard decided to show what little Portuguese he knew… and ended up resorting to the purest slang.
With a smile on his face, Carreras opened the interview with a loud swear word, leaving the Brazilian reporter visibly surprised. “He said a bad word…”, the journalist reacted, between embarrassment and laughter. The player immediately explained: “It was the only thing I learned in Portugal, I don’t speak Portuguese, but I understand it.”
AH, CALM DOWN, CARRERAS! 🤣🇵🇹 The Spaniard showed us what he learned about Portuguese during his time at Benfica!
