Norma Braga, sister of Roberto Carlos, dies aged 90

Norma Braga, the singer’s sister, died this Tuesday morning (4/11), aged 90. She had been hospitalized for three weeks at Casa de Saúde São José, in, due to respiratory complications.

With Norma’s departure, the 84-year-old singer is left without siblings. The artist was the youngest of the four children of Laura Moreira Braga and Robertino Braga.

“We do not have authorization from the family to disclose more information about the patient”, informed Clínica São José.

The firstborn, Lauro Braga, died in March 2021, aged 90, as a result of complications caused by meningitis and stroke. Carlos Alberto Braga, known as Gadia, passed away in August this year, aged 92.

Even in the midst of this delicate moment, the singer continues to fulfill professional commitments. In an interview with reporter Monique Arruda from LeoDias portalearlier this year, during the press conference for the “ Além do Horizonte ” cruise, Roberto spoke about the future of Globo’s traditional end-of-year special. The artist assured that he does not intend to end his five-decade partnership with the broadcaster.
