November 11 it’s not only National Independence Day. On this day we also celebrate the name day of St. Marcin. On this occasion, many Polish homes traditionally prepare croissants. They are especially popular in Poznań and other regions of Greater Poland sweet St. Martin’s croissants.

But it turns out that some bake croissants, others bake cookies. Italian dipping cookies They taste perfect with afternoon coffee or tea. Serve them to your guests and they will surely disappear from the table in no time.

Italian dipping cookies it’s the perfect after-dinner snack with coffee or tea. They are prepared from type 00 flour – the same flour used to make pizza and focaccia. What needs to be done Italian cookies? Here’s the full list ingredients:

  • 500 g of type 00 flour;
  • 60 ml of milk;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1-2 drops of vanilla extract;
  • 130 g of white sugar;
  • 80 g rapeseed oil;
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

Preparation method:

  1. Pour the flour into a large bowl, then add sugar, 1 egg and room temperature milk. Complete the mixture with rapeseed oil, baking powder and vanilla extract. Optionally, we can add the zest of one lemon or orange.
  2. Start kneading everything vigorously – first with a spoon and then with your hand. Knead the dough until it is perfectly smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into approximately 15 portions. Each part should be given the desired shape and rolled in sugar.
  4. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake them at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10-12 minutes (until they are nicely browned). It is worth constantly checking the degree of baking of the cookies so as not to accidentally burn them. After this time they will be ready.

Italian dipping cookies in coffee or tea should be served after it has cooled down. They taste amazing, it’s worth making more of them in advance – especially when we expect a larger number of guests. These kinds of delicacies will disappear from the plates very quickly. They will be perfect for a family meeting on November 11!
