Alarm bells ring in the Republican Party after a night horriblemarked by electoral defeats in the big US city, anti-Zionist and Muslim. Democrats have also taken two key seats and will govern the states of Virginia and New Jersey.
Complete this list of triumphs for an opposition that currently does not have a majority in either chamber, but continues to grow with one year left for the mid-term elections (midterm), the vote in favor of California’s Proposition 50. This is an initiative promoted by the current California governor, Gavin Newsom, which seeks to counteract the same electoral reform in Texas that benefits Republicans and reduces Democratic seats.
There has been no shortage of voices on the other side of the pond that interpret what happened at the polls as the first major setback for the Republicans and the Trump Administration, in the context that it was also the first major appointment with the polls after the deployment of the most ultra policies of the White House – deployment of marines and National Guard in Democratic cities, the raids and… etc-.
