Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Two giant waves left one dead and 15 injured on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife. The worst accident was in the town of Puerto de la Cruz on the north coast of the island in the Atlantic. There, ten people were swept into the sea by the force of the water hitting land, the regional government’s press office confirmed on Saturday.
