An accident involving four vehicles was recorded in the early evening of Thursday (13), around 6pm, in front of the Brasiléia City Hall garage. The person responsible for the collision, identified as Dieyson da Silva Carvalho, went the wrong way and hit a motorcycle, leaving the driver injured. Images from security cameras at a local establishment show the exact moment of the collisions.

According to information from the Military Police, the motorcyclist suffered abrasions on his left leg and had a suspected fracture. He received care from Samu and was taken to the Brasiléia Emergency Room. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage, while the other three vehicles involved only had minor damage.
Still according to the PM, Dieyson showed clear signs of intoxication, walking unsteadily, speaking disjointedly and unable to adequately answer questions. When informed that he would be taken to the police station, the driver reacted aggressively, requiring him to be immobilized and handcuffed.

The traffic team was called to perform a breathalyzer test, but the suspect refused to perform the procedure. The PM also requested the presence of expertise, but Copom reported that there were no professionals available at the time. As a result, the police themselves recorded images of the scene and instructed other drivers to remove their vehicles to reestablish the flow of traffic.
Without any injuries, Dieyson da Silva Carvalho was taken to the Brasiléia Police Station, where he was made available to the police authorities.
