FIFA (International Football Federation) will hold the draw for the groups for the 2026 World Cup this Friday afternoon (5), starting at 2pm (Brasília time). The competition will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
There will be 48 teams in contention, the largest number in the tournament’s history, divided into 12 groups. 32 of them will advance to the knockout stages: the first two from each group, plus the eight best among the third-placed teams.
The definition of the switch takes place at the Kennedy Center, in Washington. The ceremony is attended by Donald Trump, president of the United States, the country that will host most of the games and the big decision.
The groups will be filled in in this text as the draw progresses.
