As we know, fish are generally healthy, but carp are worse compared to other species – it is fatty and has small amounts of unsaturated fatty acidswhich are so valuable to our health.
Fried carp bells are often served for Christmas Eve dinner. Remember that the caloric value of the fish increases. However, the worst thing is frying in lard, margarine and any other hydrogenated fats containing trans fats that are harmful to health. Therefore, the best choice will be .

Herring fared much better than carp and they took second place in Michał Wrzosek’s ranking. They contain large amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties and support heart health. Moreover, they do not accumulate large amounts of toxins like salmon or tuna.
For Christmas Eve, we usually prepare herring in oil or cream. Then they are a real calorie bomb, and if eaten in excess they have a bad effect on health. For this reason, the dietitian does not put them in the first place.
He considered white fish, i.e. pollock, cod and hake, to be the healthiest option. They are low-calorie because they contain 70-90 kcal per 100 g of the product and are a source of protein, iodine and potassium. They are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
We can fry these specimens or make them into a Christmas dish, which is Greek fish. Pollock, cod or hake will taste great with carrots and celery.
