Slovak hockey defender Šimon The German scored his seventh goal in the ongoing NHL season in the NHL night game on the ice of Ottawa. He contributed to New Jersey’s 4-3 triumph, which ended the Devils’ five-game losing streak. Forwards Juraj Slafkovský from Montreal and Dalibor Dvorský from St. Louis did not register in the Canadian scoring, their teams lost.

The Blues lost 2:5 on their own ice and for the third time in the season they did not manage to achieve three victories in a series. Boston won the fourth game out of the previous five.
