Criticism from deputies towards Hugo Motta soars online – 12/11/2025 – Mônica Bergamo

The crisis opened by (-RJ) in the plenary session and deepened the wear and tear of the President of the House, (-PB), among his own colleagues. A survey by the data agency Datrix obtained by the column shows that, between Tuesday (9) and this Thursday (11), 82% of the demonstrations in the deputy networks about Motta had a negative content.

During the period, parliamentarians published 242 direct mentions of the President of the Chamber, from 102 different profiles, reaching around 55 million people — approximately a quarter of all the impact generated on the networks by deputies in those days.

The critical wave was driven by , classified by opponents as “disguised amnesty” for those involved in the acts of January 8, accounting for 44% of mentions. The proposal was approved on Wednesday (10) and was sent to the Senate.

Glauber’s impeachment process accounted for 33% of negative mentions, and the turmoil in the plenary motivated another 16%, according to monitoring.

PSOL was the group that most attacked Motta, with Sâmia Bomfim, Glauber Braga and Chico Alencar accounting for around 17% of the negative statements. The also boosted criticism, with Rogério Correia, Maria do Rosário and Erika Kokay.

The positive manifestations — from Nelson Barbudo, Dr. Luiz Ovando and the profile in the name of Carla Zambelli, who is imprisoned in Italy — had less engagement and reached less than 3 million users. According to Datrix, the low range reinforces the asymmetry of the debate and indicates, in the short term, Motta’s loss of authority in leading the Chamber.
