According to the triage system, urgent patients – with a yellow bracelet – must be seen within 60 minutes.
Urgent patients have to wait, this Thursday, Christmas Day, more than 11 hours for their first observation in the general emergency room at the Amadora-Sintra hospital.
The information appears on the SNS portal and indicates that those who have yellow bracelet (urgent patients) – at 10:45 there were around 41 people – you have to wait 11:30 am for the first observation.
Patients triaged as little urgent (green bracelet) had a waiting time to be seen by a doctor. 2 p.m..
At Garcia de Orta Hospital, in Almada, the wait for the first observation of the 28 patients considered urgent was 6 hours and 15 minutes.
According to the triage system, very urgent situations (orange bracelet) have a Recommended service within 10 minutes following screeningwhile urgent cases (yellow) are 60 minutes and those that are not very urgent (green) 120 minutes.
Health authorities appeal to the population to, before going to an emergency room, contact the SNS24 Line (808 24 24 24) to receive appropriate guidance.
