It was in July 1976 that Jovem Pan left the TV Record building, in Miruna, at the Airport, to settle in the Winston Churchill Building, at number 807 Avenida Paulista, where it is still located today. The change had to do with the installation of the antenna used to start broadcasting the Jovem Pan FMcalled at the time Young Pan 2.

In addition to the new station that has become a musical reference in the country, the journalism department (programming broadcast on AM 620 kHz) also came to the most São Paulo of avenues. Antônio Augusto Amaral de Carvalho, known as Tuta, completed ten years as director of Jovem Pan and journalism remained under the command of Fernando Vieira de Melo.

The move to Paulista meant that the Pan look even more like São Paulo and expand the provision of services aimed at citizens, with relevant information, such as weather forecasts, consumer rights and traffic and road conditions. Listeners have always had the habit of turning on the radio early in the morning to follow the Morning newspaperthe main journalistic facts. Many still remember, with nostalgia, the Morning Showdo Sports Journaldo São Paulo Nowyes Time of Truth and the Saturday Wheelproducts that made history.

On this January 1, 2026, I share a very rare album: “Jovem Pan – a universe of news”, with main excerpts from the broadcaster’s programming in the mid-seventies. I wish you a spectacular year and I hope you continue to follow me on Young Pan.
