If you serve them to family members, they will disappear from the table in the blink of an eye. Even the pickiest eaters will surely like them. Serve them as an appetizer or snack for the main course.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 500 g of wheat flour,
  • 4 teaspoons of instant yeast,
  • 50 g sugar,
  • 1 egg, size L or XL,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 300 ml of milk,
  • 200 g tartego sera cheddar,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill.

Additionally:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh dill.

If you plan to cook the rolls solo, you can prepare for them yogurt and herbal dip. Just mix Greek yogurt, chopped chives, dill, a little lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl.

In a bowl, mix 3 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, egg and salt.

Heat the milk until warm and pour it into the flour mixture. Knead the mixture for 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping down the sides of the dough if necessary. Then add the remaining flour and knead for another 2 minutes.

Add cheese, very finely chopped garlic and dill. Knead until the mixture is very soft and begins to pull away from the bowl. If this does not happen, gradually add flour one tablespoon at a time.

Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 45 minutes or until it doubles in volume. Remove the foil and punch the dough down with your fist.

Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Divide the dough into 12 parts and form balls. Place them in a dish and cover them with foil for 30 minutes.

Bake the garlic rolls for 25 minutes at 190 degrees Celsius.

In a small bowl, combine melted butter, finely chopped garlic and dill. Spread the warm rolls with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle the tops with salt. Serve them warm.
