Caracas made the announcement after the President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that US forces intercepted, on Friday, the oil tanker Olina (formerly called Minerva M) in Caribbean waters “in coordination with Venezuela’s interim authorities”, after the ship had left the country “without due authorization”.
