“The Secret Agent” is an international co-production between Brazil, France, Germany and the Netherlands. In Oscar history, .

The production is set in 1977 and has the military dictatorship (1964-1985) as its backdrop. He returns to his hometown, Recife, in search of peace, but soon realizes that the city is far from being the refuge he was looking for.
The film, full of twists, humor and references to Pernambuco culture, premiered in Brazilian cinemas in November.
