The governor of , (Republicans), visits, this Thursday (29), the former president (PL), who is serving a sentence for an attempted coup d’état at the Military Police Battalion, next to the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, in .
Tarcísio arrived at the Papuda complex at around 10:50 am, in a convoy of cars. He was accompanied by Vicente Santini, head of the São Paulo Government office in Brasília and an ally of the Bolsonaro family. The authorized visiting hours are from 11am to 1pm.
The visit had initially been scheduled last week, but ended up being postponed by the governor after a conflict with Bolsonarism. The meeting was authorized by the minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) at the request of the former president.
The conversation between Bolsonaro and Tarcísio is the first since the oldest former president, the senator (PL), to contest the elections against (PT), bypassing the governor. This occurred in September, when Bolsonaro was still under house arrest.
In recent weeks, Tarcísio’s articulation of Bolsonaro’s house arrest raised alarms among Flávio’s supporters, which led the former president’s son to publicly pressure him. In , Tarcísio postponed the visit.

Those who live with the governor say that the purpose of the meeting is to express solidarity and that politicians should deal with personal matters, like old friends who like each other. Tarcísio is not expected to bring up thorny topics, like his, to the former president.
Bolsonaro has been in prison since November 22nd. He was sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison by the STF for attempting a coup d’état. He is serving his sentence in Papudinha, in Brasília, and allies denounce the deterioration of his health condition in an attempt to transfer him to house arrest.
