Ingredients:
- 200 g of wheat flour,
- 100 g of butter,
- 250 ml of water,
- 4 eggs,
- a pinch of salt,
- frying oil,
- powdered sugar for decoration.
How to do it:
1. Pour water into the pot, add butter and a pinch of salt. Heat until the butter melts completely and everything begins to boil.
2. Remove the pot from the heat, add all the flour at once and stir vigorously with a spoon or wooden spatula. Then put the pot back on low heat and grind the mass until it is smooth, uniform and begins to visibly separate from the walls of the pot.
3. Place the prepared dough in a bowl and set aside to cool. It should be lukewarm, not hot.
4. Add the eggs to the cooled dough one by one, mixing thoroughly with a mixer each time. The mass should be smooth, thick and shiny.
5. Transfer the dough to a pastry bag with a star tip.
6. Cut out squares of approximately 10 cm from baking paper. Press a round donut-shaped nest on each piece of paper.
7. Heat the oil in a wide pot or deep frying pan. When it is hot, put the donuts together with the paper into the oil. After a while, the paper will peel off from the dough, then gently remove it with tongs.
8. Fry the dumplings over medium heat on both sides until they are evenly golden and nicely risen.
9. Remove the fried dumplings with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.
10. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
