Authorities in Maryland, on , announced Monday afternoon that a shooting occurred inside a high school, with one student confirmed to be injured.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department said Thomas S. Wootton High School remains on lockdown as more officials converge on the scene.
Authorities announced that the entire building was sealed off, while the roads leading to the school were closed at this time. At the same time, according to ABC, a person has been detained, who is allegedly involved in the incident.
Parents are encouraged to contact a nearby campus at Robert Frost Middle School, located at 9201 Scott Drive.
