A new resort promoted by Sandra Ortega, daughter of the founder of Inditex, is about to be created in Tróia and promises to position the Alentejo peninsula on an even higher level of international luxury tourism, with prices that can reach 8 thousand euros per night.

The project is called Na Praia and is the result of an investment estimated at 250 million euros, with opening scheduled for spring 2026. According to Marketeer, which describes Tróia as the “Portuguese Ibiza”, the project is one of the most ambitious in the last decade in the national tourism sector.

A million-dollar investment in a strategic location

Located on a plot of around 96 hectares, of which only 20% will be occupied by construction, the resort will be located between the Atlantic, the dune systems and the Sado estuary, in one of the most valued areas of the Alentejo coast.

According to Marketeer, the choice of location reinforces the strategy of positioning the project in a territory associated with exclusivity, preserved nature and proximity to destinations such as Comporta and Melides, which in recent years have attracted international investment.

The development includes a boutique hotel with 45 rooms, aimed mainly at an adult audience and for stays focused on tranquility and well-being.

Villas, private residences and prices up to 8 thousand euros

In addition to the hotel, the complex includes 77 private residences and five luxury villas, all with heated swimming pools, large terraces, private gardens and personalized services.

According to the same publication, suites should start at around a thousand euros per night, reaching up to 8 thousand euros in larger villas. These units include multiple suites, spacious living areas, fireplaces, interior courtyards, and direct outdoor connections from the bedrooms.

The positioning is clearly premium and aimed at a market segment that prioritizes privacy, exclusivity and personalization.

A project designed to avoid massification

According to , the promoters assume that the objective is to affirm Na Praia as an international reference destination, betting on a logic distinct from mass tourism.

Low construction density and integration into the landscape are highlighted as pillars of the concept, in an attempt to reconcile luxury with environmental preservation.

The bet comes in a context in which the Sergipe coast has been consolidating itself as one of the most exclusive hubs in the country, attracting international investors and brands associated with the high-income segment.

With its opening scheduled for 2026, the new resort could contribute to reinforcing Tróia’s international projection, which is now preparing to take another step on the route of global luxury tourism.
