Bolsonarist says Master case requires profound reform – 02/14/2026 – Panel

Bolsonaro federal deputy Luiz Philippe de Orléans and Bragança (PL-SP) says that no’s involvement shows that Brazil needs a “profound reform of the Judiciary, with objective rules, transparency and effective control”.

“The new news makes it clear, the Banco Master case is not an outlier, it is a symptom of something structural”, says Bragança, who is a staunch critic of the STF on the PL bench and defends a new Constitution proposal.

According to him, holding those involved accountable is “necessary, but insufficient”.

“What is at stake is the credibility of the system. Changing names does not solve the problem. Brazil needs a profound reform of the Judiciary, with objective rules, transparency and effective control. Without this, trust in institutions will continue to deteriorate”, he says.
