has announced a new collision against a ship from the Caribbean, the ‘Veronica III’, after a long chase from the waters of the Indo-Pacific, where it was intercepted.
“U.S. forces conducted a maritime interception and boarding of the Veronica III this past night without incident in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility,” the Department of Defense said in a statement.
The US Government indicates that the ship tried to break the blockade ordered by President Trump “hoping to escape.”
“We tracked it from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, closed the distance and stopped it. No other nation has the reach, endurance or will to do it,” the Department added, without giving further details.
