A man was running along Obchodná Street in Bratislava with a knife in his hand and shouting extremist slogans. Bratislava City Police (MsP) reported about it on the social network, saying that they intervened within seconds.
The patrol, which was at the checkpoint on Hurban Square, received a report from people who spotted the man. “Two city police patrols arrived on Obchodná ulica practically immediately. The man was followed by a clear call to drop the knife. The man obeyed her, but it didn’t end there,” the city police explained.
As they added, the man behaved aggressively during the procedure, he approached the officers and repeatedly raised his right hand in a Nazi salute while shouting an extremist slogan. This gave rise to the suspicion of committing the crime of extremism.
“Subsequently, the man was taken to the station on Obchodna Street, where he was given a security search. The Police Force was immediately informed about the suspected crime of extremism,” the city police added, adding that he was fined for carrying a cold weapon in public.
