In an interview with Fox News, JD Vance declared that Trump “has a lot of opinions” about Iran

US Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday (17) that although some progress has been made in talks with Iran over its nuclear program, the Persian country is not willing to accept some of US President Donald Trump’s “red lines”.

“One thing about this morning’s negotiations is that — in some ways, it went well. They agreed to meet later, but on the other hand, it was very clear that the president set some red lines that the Iranians are still not willing to really recognize and work on,” Vance said in an interview with the US broadcaster Fox News.

According to Vance, the US will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon and Trump “has a lot of opinions” about Tehran.

“We will continue to work on this, but of course the president reserves the ability to say when he thinks diplomacy has reached its end. We hope we don’t get to that point, but if we do, that will be the president’s decision,” he added.
