A Microsoft stated this Wednesday (18) that it is on its way to investing US$50 billion until the end of the decade in the expansion of artificial intelligence for countries in the “Global South”.
The announcement was made at the AI summit in New Delhi, where senior AI executives global AI giants meet with several world leaders this week.
The term “Global South” refers to developing, emerging or low-income countries, located mainly in the southern hemisphere.
Last year, Microsoft announced investments of $17.5 billion in AI in Indiareinforcing its commitment to one of the fastest growing digital markets in the world.
