After the snowfall that hit our territory again from Thursday, Slovaks have to prepare for a cold weekend. After him, a change will come again, which will surprise everyone. Spring temperatures of up to 13 degrees Celsius will appear. On Thursday, colder air flowed to the north of the country and warmer air to the south, the portal writes. As a result, it snowed or rained on our territory.
At the end of the week, it is also necessary to expect heavier snowfall and the formation of snow tongues, especially in southern Slovakia. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about this on its website. Ten to 15 centimeters of snow could fall in southern districts from Thursday afternoon to Friday morning. Stronger winds should also be expected during Friday in the districts of the Košice region. Wind gusts can reach speeds of 65 to 85 kilometers per hour.
Temperatures have not risen and are not expected to rise significantly even during the weekend. A more significant turning point will come from the new week. While on Saturday morning it can be in valleys and basins even minus 15 degrees Celsiusit will start to moderate on Sunday morning and although rain or snow is expected again, temperatures they can rise to six degrees Celsius. The most significant warming will come from Monday.
According to predictions the temperature is supposed to be above normal weather in the period from February 23 to 25, i.e. from Monday to Wednesday. Temperatures will rise to six to 13 degrees Celsius. When we compare the most brutal minus values (-15 degrees) and the highest daily values of the next week (around 13 degrees), the difference can be up to an incredible 28 degrees!
